In this session, we have great speakers lined up for you: Jutta, our Head of Marketing, has invited Silvan Dillier, a professional cyclist riding for Alpecin-Deceuninck, the team of current world champion Mathieu Van der Poel, as well as Dirk Dammert, Global Head of Customer Service at Canyon Bicycles.
👉 Silvan will talk about what drives him to create events for the community to share his passion and values with others. He will also share what almost made him quit cycling and the story behind his brand, Captain Attitude.
👉 While one of the best-known brands in cycling—ultimately also thanks to Alpecin-Deceuninck’s team’s successes—Canyon assigns an important role to the community. Dirk will give insights into why and how community-powered activities impact their online customer’s journey.

Silvan is a teammate to current world champion and cycling super star Mathieu Van der Poel. For those who follow cycling, you’ll spot Silvan as the relentless pace maker at the front of the peloton, playing an important role in the team’s success.
However, Silvan is more than just a bike racer. He hosts several community events, with the goal of uniting and inspiring others. He organizes all his events in his neighbourhood, to promote his home region in Switzerland.
In addition, he started the lifestyle collection called Captain Attitude, through which he aims to encourage people to take ownership and be self-empowered.
“I once met Silvan when we were both riding on our way home. We had a great chat, but what impressed me most during that four-hour ride was that he greeted and gave a thumbs up to every single bike rider we crossed, no matter if they were young or old, on road bikes, e-bikes, or just normal commuter bikes. He literally showed appreciation to all the cyclists out there,” says Jutta, who will host this live session.
Dirk is the Global Head of Customer Service at Canyon Bicycles, based in Koblenz. He is a strong advocate of involving the community in the customer journey to drive “very authentic, trustworthy moments between peers”.
Dirk regularly joins community events, experiencing firsthand how powerful these exchanges are between people who share the same passion.
He is also an avid bike rider – on Canyon bikes and motorbikes. He loves to spend time on roads and in nature with like-minded people and family.
Jutta is Head of Marketing at GUURU and maintains regular contact with brands that successfully integrate their expert community into their online store.
She is a passionate cyclist herself, and has discovered her love for bike-packing. While riding through countries, she meets many like-minded people along the way.
Being a member of the cycling community, she experiences how the exchange of knowledge between peers occurs naturally, and she assists brands in effectively transferring this dynamic to their online shops.
